Privacy policy

The Party Wheel is a free set of spinning-wheel pickers. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. Here’s exactly what happens when you use it.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or contact forms, and the site doesn’t use tracking cookies or analytics scripts.
Your lists stay on your device
Songs, books, games, and names you type in, plus your settings, are saved in your browser’s local storage so they’re there next time. They are never sent to us or anyone else. To erase them, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Services that keep the site running
- GitHub Pages hosts the site. Like any web host, GitHub may briefly log technical details such as IP addresses to keep the service secure. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
- Cloudflare manages the domain name. It doesn’t load anything on these pages.
- Google Search Console tells us how the site appears in Google search results, such as which searches showed our pages. It doesn’t add anything to the site or track you here.
The weekly “Current hits” and “New & popular” lists come from Apple’s public charts. We fetch them on our side once a week; your browser never contacts Apple.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to stores and services like Goodreads, Bookshop.org, Libro.fm, Amazon, Audible, OverDrive, and YouTube. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Some of these links may become affiliate links in the future; our affiliate disclosure explains how that works.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If we ever add advertising, analytics, or anything else that collects information, we’ll update this page first and change the date at the top.
