How to pick a party game
Start with your group size, since it rules out the most games. Then think about what’s on hand: if nobody brought anything, stick with no-supply games like Charades or Two Truths and a Lie. Spin, and the wheel shows quick rules for free games or a how-to-play video for card and board games.
Ways to use it
- Game night rotation: switch to “Games we own”, list your shelf, and turn on “Remove each game” so you play something different each round.
- Icebreakers: at a party where people don’t know each other, include only “No supplies” and spin for the first game.
- Holiday parties: set the occasion to “Holiday party” for White Elephant, holiday charades, and crowd-pleasers that work for office parties and family gatherings. Card and board games on the wheel also make easy gifts.
- Big groups: pick “13 or more”. Games like Mafia, Fishbowl, and Herd Mentality work for a crowd.
What makes a good party game?
Rules you can explain in under a minute, turns that keep everyone involved, and something that gets people laughing or talking. Team games help shy guests join in, and short rounds make it easy for latecomers to jump in.
Is the wheel random?
Yes. Each spin uses your browser’s built-in random number generator, so every game on the wheel has the same chance. Your lists stay on your device and aren’t sent anywhere.
